Welcome to Blackrun, the city that bleeds black. Thousands of years in the future, society depends on Oyel, a sustainable energy source. But how sustainable is it really? In fact, Oyel is the blood of the Quasi, government experiments with superhuman strength, speed, and intellect. When the Quasi stage a rebellion, the human race finds out the truth about Oyel. The Quasi, turned angry and bitter, feast on human flesh to satiate their rage. The Risen, the creators of the Quasi, use this turmoil to do whatever they please. One Risen, Lyre, is on a quest to find a time machine. Along the way he meets Valkyrie, just your average apocalypse survivor. But there are secrets buried in Blackrun... on both sides.
